- Use lukewarm water
We get how each one of us likes to turn our bathing time into spa time however, prolonged bathing hours along with hot water can do less good and more harm to your skin. Make sure each time when you take a shower, use lukewarm and not hot water as it can strip away the essential oils and cause your skin to dry.
- Always pick a gentle cleanser
While the best option is to opt for a cleanser that’s custom-made for your skin type. If not that, you should always opt for a gentle cleanser that consists of hydrating ingredients. You could always look up ingredients such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid, or essential oils. Such ingredients will make sure to nourish your skin from within and not come out as harsh.

- Moisturize, moisturize, and moisturize
Okay, so we cannot really emphasize this enough but this step is crucial. In order to keep your skin hydrated, it’s imperative that you moisturizer soon after you step out of the shower and before you hit the bed. Ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or aloe-vera in your moisturizer will work like a charm on your skin type.
Just in case, you still feel dry, you can always look up to our 99% pure aloe vera gel directly sourced from the Himalayas. It will not only hydrate your skin but will soothe it too.
- Don’t forget to exfoliate!
Dead skin cells can easily build up on the skin’s surface and it’s important to scrub them off to maintain healthy skin. Add this step into your skincare routine and use the scrub once a week for visible results. You can always DIY and make scrubs at home.
Simply take loose green tea, brew it, put 1tbsp of it in a bowl, and let it cool. Then, mix 1tbsp of sugar, 1tbsp of honey, and mix it well. Use the paste to scrub all over your face and wash it off with cold water.
– Invest in a good sunscreen
A lot of us generally miss this good and gold step. We get the point that Vitamin D is good for the skin but direct exposure to sunlight can cause harm to your skin. Since dry skin is more prone to wrinkles, the harmful sun rays can intensify the effect, and we certainly don’t want that. To avoid that condition, use sunscreen after 4-6 hours depending upon the SPF. We recommend you start with SPF 30 and use it every 6 hours.
- Oh, and protect your lips too!
Yes, never forget that! Since dry lips can easily chap, make sure to protect them by applying lip balm every few hours. You could even use a sugar scrub to exfoliate the lips and keep them healthy. Oh, and did we tell you that desi ghee could treat your dry lips real quick? (psst, it’s tried and tested :D).
